Sedum spathulifolium 'Purpureum'
Sedum spathulifolium 'Purpureum' is a low-growing, mat-forming evergreen succulent with rich plum-purple foliage that provides outstanding year-round colour. Its spreading habit makes it an excellent choice for creating a colourful carpet in sunny borders, gravel gardens and rockeries.
During summer, clusters of bright star-shaped yellow flowers appear above the succulent foliage, attracting bees and other pollinators. Thriving in poor, well-drained soils, this tough variety is perfect for green roofs, raised beds, retaining walls and decorative containers.
Drought tolerant once established and requiring very little maintenance, 'Purpureum' is an ideal groundcover plant for adding long-lasting texture and colour to low-maintenance gardens.
