Rudbeckia triloba 'Prairie Glow'
Rudbeckia triloba 'Prairie Glow' is a striking short-lived perennial producing masses of small, dark-centred flowers in rich shades of red, orange and yellow. Each bloom develops slightly different colouring, creating a warm and varied display from midsummer well into autumn.
The branching stems form a loose, natural-looking clump that works particularly well in prairie-style planting, cottage gardens and mixed perennial borders. Its warm colouring combines beautifully with ornamental grasses, Salvias and late-flowering asters.
Best grown in full sun or partial shade, 'Prairie Glow' is adaptable to most well-drained soils and is fully hardy in UK gardens. Although relatively short lived, it provides a long season of colour and can make a particularly effective feature towards the middle or back of a border.
