Ribes sanguineum 'Pulborough Scarlet' is a deciduous spring-flowering currant with clusters of rich, pendulous red flowers that appear before the leaves. Flowering from March to April, it's a fantastic early nectar source for pollinators. The lobed foliage has a pleasant scent and develops attractive autumn colour. A tough and reliable shrub for early spring colour, great as an informal hedge or planted in a mixed border.
