Physocarpus opulifolius 'Little Angel'
Physocarpus 'Little Angel' is a compact deciduous shrub prized for its richly coloured foliage and neat, rounded habit. New growth emerges in bright orange-red shades before maturing to deep burgundy, creating strong seasonal contrast in the garden.
In early summer, clusters of small white to pale pink flowers appear above the dark foliage, followed by decorative seed heads that extend the season of interest. The combination of colourful leaves, delicate flowers and attractive seed heads gives this variety excellent ornamental value.
Compact, bushy and easy to grow, 'Little Angel' is ideal for mixed borders, smaller gardens and patio containers. It performs well in sun or partial shade and is a reliable, low-maintenance choice for adding colour and texture to planting schemes.
