Phlox subulata 'White Delight'
Phlox subulata 'White Delight' forms a dense cushion of fine, needle-like evergreen foliage. Masses of pure white, star-shaped flowers cover the leaves, creating a bright carpet close to the ground.
Flowering from April to June, this spreading perennial brings fresh colour to rockeries, sunny banks and border edges. Its trailing growth softens low walls and container rims, while the evergreen foliage provides ground cover beyond the flowering season.
Grow in full sun in well-drained soil, avoiding positions that remain wet in winter. Trim lightly after flowering to encourage fresh growth and keep the cushion neat, and water during dry spells while establishing.
