Philodendron burle-marxii 'White Lava' is a distinctive variegated climbing Philodendron with long, narrow green leaves marked by bold streaks and splashes of white and cream. Rather than soft or blended variegation, the markings often appear sharply defined across the foliage, giving each leaf its own dramatic, fractured pattern.
A variegated form of Philodendron burle-marxii, 'White Lava' has a naturally climbing habit and benefits from a moss pole or other support as it matures. It can grow relatively quickly in warm, bright conditions, with increasingly impressive foliage developing as the plant establishes and climbs.

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain strong variegation. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves.
Water: Water when the top 2-3cm of compost feels dry. Ensure excess water drains away and never allow the plant to sit in water.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a well-draining aroid potting mix with good aeration. Feed monthly in spring and summer.
Humidity: Enjoys moderate to higher humidity (60%+), but adapts well to normal household conditions.
Pruning and propagation: Trim to control size or encourage bushier growth. Easily propagated from stem cuttings with a node.
