Parodia mammulosa
Parodia mammulosa, commonly known as the Ball Cactus, is an attractive globe-shaped cactus with a strongly ribbed green body covered in neat clusters of fine, pale spines. Its rounded, symmetrical form gives it plenty of character while providing architectural interest for windowsills, desks and mixed cactus displays.
Easy to care for and naturally adapted to dry conditions, Parodia mammulosa thrives in bright light and free-draining cactus compost. Mature plants can also produce cheerful yellow flowers around the crown during the warmer months, creating a colourful contrast against the sculptural, spiny body.

Parodia Care
Light: Provide plenty of bright light with some direct sunshine; a sunny windowsill is ideal
Water: Water thoroughly during spring and summer, allowing the compost to dry completely between waterings
Humidity: Prefers dry conditions and does not require additional humidity
Temperature: Enjoys normal indoor temperatures during active growth and prefers cooler, dry conditions in winter
Feeding: Feed occasionally with a specialist cactus fertiliser during spring and summer
Winter care: Keep much drier during winter and avoid leaving the roots in cold, wet compost
