Nyssa sylvatica 'Red Rage'
Nyssa 'Red Rage' is a deciduous tree with exceptionally glossy, deep green foliage and brilliant autumn colour. As temperatures fall, the leaves turn vivid red with gold and pink tints, creating a striking seasonal display.
Its upright, broadly pyramidal crown provides an attractive shape through the growing season. Ideal as a specimen tree in larger gardens, lawns and woodland-style planting, it brings structure and a strong splash of autumn colour.
Grow in full sun or partial shade in moisture-retentive, acidic to neutral soil. Choose a sheltered position with room for the crown to develop, and water regularly while establishing and during prolonged dry spells. Little routine pruning is needed; avoid disturbing established roots.
