Meconopsis 'Lingholm'
Meconopsis 'Lingholm' is one of the finest Himalayan Blue Poppies, producing breathtaking electric blue flowers with contrasting golden-yellow stamens from late spring into summer. Its vivid blooms create a spectacular focal point in shaded gardens, bringing an almost unrivalled intensity of colour.
Best grown in cool, sheltered positions with consistently moist, humus-rich soil, this hardy perennial is perfect for woodland gardens, shaded borders and damp planting areas. The silky flowers are held above attractive clumps of green foliage and are highly attractive to pollinating insects.
Although it appreciates a little extra care to provide the right growing conditions, 'Lingholm' rewards gardeners with one of the most unforgettable floral displays of any perennial.
