Malus 'Pink Glow'
Malus 'Pink Glow' is an attractive deciduous crab apple tree producing masses of scented, pink-tinged white flowers in mid to late spring. The blossom creates an impressive seasonal display and is valuable to bees and other pollinating insects.
The flowers are followed by elongated red to dark pink crab apples, which provide further colour later in the season and can also be used for making jellies and preserves. Glossy dark green leaves form a neat canopy through summer before developing yellow autumn colour.
Compact enough for many gardens, 'Pink Glow' makes an excellent specimen tree for lawns, borders and orchard-style planting. It grows best in full sun or partial shade in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil.
