Malus 'Gorgeous'

Malus 'Gorgeous' is a small ornamental crab apple tree with exceptional year-round interest. In spring, its branches are smothered in pure white blossom, attracting bees and other pollinators. Through summer, the glossy green foliage provides structure before giving way to a vibrant autumn show. From early autumn, the tree is covered in masses of bright red crab apples that persist well into winter, providing food for birds and adding seasonal colour.

Compact and highly ornamental, ‘Gorgeous’ is ideal for smaller gardens, courtyards, or used as a feature tree in mixed borders. Its neat habit and heavy fruiting also make it a popular choice for wildlife-friendly gardens. The small crab apples are edible when cooked, making excellent jellies and preserves. Holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, it is valued for its beauty and reliable garden performance.
