Mahonia eurybracteata subsp. ganpinensis 'Meteor' is a compact, evergreen shrub prized for its elegant, finely divided, leathery foliage and naturally arching habit. New leaves emerge in striking shades of red in spring and summer, gradually maturing to a rich, deep green to create year-round structure and colour in the garden.
In autumn and early winter, dense upright racemes of fragrant, vibrant yellow flowers rise above the foliage, providing valuable late-season nectar for pollinators. These are followed by clusters of bluish-black berries that attract birds and add further seasonal interest. Easy to grow and well suited to borders or sheltered planting schemes, ‘Meteor’ offers colour and structure through every season.
