Liquidambar styraciflua 'Worplesdon'

Liquidambar 'Worplesdon' is a majestic deciduous tree prized for its outstanding autumn colour and elegant form. Its deeply lobed, maple-like leaves emerge fresh green in spring, turning through rich shades of yellow, orange, crimson, and purple as the season progresses, creating a spectacular display. Even after leaf fall, its grey-brown bark and upright branching provide structure and interest in the winter landscape.

This cultivar is more reliable in autumn colouring than the species and has a slightly narrower, pyramidal habit, making it a good choice for medium to large gardens. Hardy and robust, it thrives in moist, well-drained soil and is especially striking when planted as a specimen tree where its seasonal brilliance can be fully appreciated. Holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its garden performance.
