Hydrangea arborescens 'Incrediball Storm Proof'
Hydrangea arborescens 'Incrediball Storm Proof' is a compact, resilient deciduous shrub producing an abundance of white flowers on exceptionally strong stems. While the classic 'Annabelle' is known for its enormous rounded flowerheads, Incrediball Storm Proof™ has been selected for a denser habit, tougher stems and masses of smaller blooms that cover the plant from top to bottom.
The stronger framework helps the flowers remain upright through summer weather, reducing the tendency for heavily laden stems to flop after rain. Flowering on new wood, it forms a neat, mounded shrub that is particularly well suited to borders, mass planting and large containers. The flowers are also attractive to bees and butterflies and can be used fresh or dried for arrangements.
Easy to grow and low maintenance, Incrediball Storm Proof™ performs best in full sun or partial shade with average moisture. For the strongest stems and most abundant flowering, cut the plant back by around one-third in early spring as new growth begins to emerge.
