Hosta 'Bulletproof'
Hosta 'Bulletproof' is a striking, medium-sized hosta forming a neat mound of thick, spear-shaped metallic blue leaves. A tetraploid sport of the award-winning Hosta 'Halcyon', it offers improved leaf substance and a more intense blue colour that holds well through the season when grown out of direct sun.
The heavy, waxy foliage makes this variety notably resistant to slug and snail damage, making it a reliable choice for shaded gardens. In midsummer, elegant racemes of pale lavender flowers rise above the foliage on arching stems, adding soft seasonal interest.
Ideal for borders, containers, and shaded patios, it thrives in partial to full shade with moist, well-drained soil, where its bold foliage can be fully appreciated.
