Heliotropium arborescens 'Marino Blue'
Heliotropium arborescens 'Marino Blue' is a compact, richly fragrant heliotrope producing large clusters of deep violet-blue flowers from summer well into autumn. The velvety blooms are held above textured dark green foliage and release a sweet cherry pie and vanilla-like fragrance, making this variety perfect for planting close to patios, seating areas and pathways.
This floriferous variety has a neat bushy habit, making it particularly well suited to patio pots, containers and sunny borders. The richly coloured flowers contrast beautifully against the deeply veined foliage, providing long-lasting seasonal colour and scent throughout the warmer months.
Best grown in a warm, sheltered and sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil. Although technically perennial, it is generally treated as a tender annual in the UK.
