Hebe 'Rhubarb and Custard'
Hebe 'Rhubarb and Custard' is a colourful evergreen shrub valued for its striking variegated foliage, which combines shades of cream, yellow and pink throughout the year. As temperatures drop, the leaf margins and tips develop rich dark pink to red tones, creating even greater seasonal interest.
During July and August, masses of violet-purple flower spikes appear above the foliage, attracting bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. Its neat, compact habit makes it an excellent choice for borders, containers, coastal gardens and low-maintenance planting schemes.
Easy to grow and reliable, this attractive Hebe performs best in a sunny, sheltered position with well-drained soil, where its colourful foliage can be appreciated throughout the seasons.
