Drosera paradoxa
Drosera paradoxa is a distinctive tropical sundew with slender upright stems topped by compact rosettes of narrow, insect-catching leaves. Each leaf is covered in glistening sticky glands that trap small insects, giving the plant a sparkling appearance and making it a fascinating addition to a carnivorous plant collection.
Best suited to warm, humid indoor conditions, this tropical species performs particularly well in terrariums, warm conservatories or other protected growing spaces. It should be kept above 10°C during winter and benefits from bright light with some protection from the strongest summer sun.

Drosera Care Sheet
Light: Provide bright light throughout the year, with some light shade during the hottest part of summer. Avoid prolonged harsh midday sun behind glass.
Water: Keep the compost consistently moist using rainwater or distilled water only. Do not allow the plant to dry out and avoid cold water during winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use specialist sundew or carnivorous plant compost. Repot in spring when required and never use ordinary houseplant compost or fertiliser.
Humidity: Prefers warm, humid conditions throughout the year and is particularly well suited to terrarium growing.
Pruning and propagation: Remove dead leaves and spent flower stems as required. Propagation is usually by seed or careful division of established plants.

Drosera Plant Care
Watering
Keep this plant moist. To make it easy, keep the plant on a dish filled with water. As soon as it is dry refill it.
Location
Keep the Drosera in a light place. If the plant loses its “dew” this is an indication that it needs more humidity. Move to a more humid environment or cover it with glass.
Of the Drosera’s in our current range, the Drosera filiformis, nidiformis and binata are all winter hardy. This does not apply to the rest and they should be brought in before the start of the winter.
Fertilizer
The Drosera does not need fertilizer.
