Cryptanthus 'Ruby Star' – A colourful earth star bromeliad with rosettes of wavy leaves striped in ruby-red, pink, and green. Its low, star-shaped form and vibrant tones make it an eye-catching choice for tabletops, terrariums, or mixed tropical displays.

Cryptanthus Care Sheet
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. Too little light may dull the leaf colours.
Water: Keep soil lightly moist but never waterlogged. Water into the soil, not the centre rosette.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a free-draining bromeliad or houseplant mix. Feed monthly in spring and summer with diluted liquid fertiliser.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. Mist lightly or place in a terrarium for best colour.
Pruning & Propagation: Remove old leaves as they die back. Propagates by offsets (pups) at the base of mature plants.
