Crocosmia 'Hellfire'
Crocosmia 'Hellfire' is a striking British selection renowned for its intensely coloured blooms, which appear a deep crimson-red and can appear almost black when illuminated from behind. This distinctive variety forms neat clumps of upright, sword-shaped foliage, creating a strong architectural presence in the garden.
From mid to late summer, gracefully arching branched stems carry large, funnel-shaped flowers that provide a vivid display of fiery colour. The blooms are highly attractive to pollinators and bring welcome interest to borders as many earlier-flowering perennials begin to fade.
Best grown in full sun but tolerant of partial shade, 'Hellfire' thrives in moist but well-drained soil. Its tidy habit and dramatic flower colour make it an excellent choice for mixed borders, wildlife gardens and cut flower arrangements.
