Cornus kousa 'Venus' is a superb disease-tolerant hybrid dogwood, valued for its exceptionally large, creamy white flowers that appear in late spring to early summer. The impressive blooms are held clearly above the foliage, creating a bright, elegant display that is highly attractive to bees and other pollinators.
As the season progresses, fresh green leaves provide a neat, attractive canopy before turning rich shades of orange and red in autumn, extending interest well into the year. With its controlled size and strong resistance to common dogwood diseases, ‘Venus’ is an ideal specimen tree for small to medium-sized gardens, lawns and mixed borders.
