Clematis 'Kermesina'
Clematis 'Kermesina' is a vigorous Group 3 clematis that produces an abundance of rich crimson-red flowers from July through to September. The vivid blooms create a striking display in the garden and provide valuable late-season colour when many other climbers are beginning to fade.
Named after the kermes insect, historically used to produce the red dye cochineal, this variety is particularly effective when allowed to scramble through trees, shrubs and climbing roses. Its strong growth, good wind tolerance and resistance to clematis wilt make it a reliable choice for a wide range of garden situations.
