Clematis 'Glorious Day'
Clematis 'Glorious Day' is a striking Group 3 Clematis producing large, open flowers in rich deep violet-purple shades. The velvety petals form elegant pinwheel-shaped blooms, beautifully contrasted by prominent lemon-yellow stamens at the centre.
Flowering from summer into autumn, 'Glorious Day' provides a long season of colour and is ideal for training over trellises, arches, obelisks, fences and other garden supports. Its bold flowers make an impressive vertical feature in sunny borders.
Best grown in a sunny position with fertile, moist but well-drained soil, 'Glorious Day' is easy to maintain. As a Group 3 Clematis, prune hard in late winter or early spring to encourage vigorous new flowering growth.
