Clematis 'Glorious Red'
Clematis 'Glorious Red' is a striking Group 3 Clematis producing open, pinwheel-shaped flowers in rich velvety red. Each bloom is highlighted by contrasting lemon-yellow stamens, creating a bold and eye-catching display from summer into autumn.
Its long flowering season makes 'Glorious Red' an excellent choice for adding colour to walls, fences, trellises and obelisks. The richly coloured flowers stand out particularly well against fresh green foliage and combine beautifully with other summer-flowering climbers and shrubs.
Best grown in a sunny position, 'Glorious Red' is easy to maintain and responds well to the simple Group 3 pruning method, cutting stems back hard in late winter or early spring to encourage strong new flowering growth.
