Cherry 'Morello' (Colt) - Fan Trained

Cherry 'Morello' (Colt) - Fan Trained

Cherry 'Morello' is a classic acid cherry valued for its attractive spring blossom and heavy crops of richly flavoured fruit. In spring, the branches are covered with clusters of pale pink to white flowers, followed by glossy dark red cherries that ripen from mid to late summer.

The juicy, sharp-flavoured fruits are particularly well suited to cooking and are excellent for pies, preserves, jams and sauces. 'Morello' is also valued for its ability to crop successfully in less sunny positions than many sweet cherries, making it a versatile choice for a range of gardens.

Supplied fan trained on Colt rootstock, this tree is ideal for growing against a wall or fence where its framework can be maintained through regular pruning and training. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil and keep well watered while establishing.
