A spectacular and sculptural cactus with twisting, irregular blue-grey stems that create a unique, architectural look. This slow-growing Cereus peruvianus 'Monstrosus Blue' is a true collector’s plant, with prominent ribs and occasional woolly areoles.

- Useful to know: Pet safe, but spiny – handle with care
- Eventual height: Up to 2m over many years
- Origins: South America (cultivar of Cereus native to Brazil and Argentina)
Cereus Care Sheet
Light: Requires full sun or very bright light. Best placed in a conservatory, glasshouse, or sunny window.
Water: Water moderately in spring and summer, letting the soil dry out fully between waterings. Very little water needed in winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a gritty, free-draining cactus compost. Feed sparingly during the growing season with a cactus fertiliser.
Humidity: Prefers dry conditions – avoid high humidity.
Pruning & Propagation: No pruning required. Can be propagated from cuttings taken in spring or summer. Allow cut ends to callous before planting.
