Centaurea 'Silver Feather'
Centaurea 'Silver Feather' is a tough, hardy perennial producing distinctive lilac-pink, thistle-like flowers above soft, silvery, finely divided foliage. This striking combination of flower colour and foliage texture makes it an eye-catching addition to borders and containers.
Flowering from May to September, 'Silver Feather' provides a long season of colour and is highly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. The tufted blooms are also excellent for cutting, adding texture and interest to seasonal flower arrangements.
Initially compact, this easy-to-grow perennial becomes taller as the season progresses, making it suitable for a range of planting styles. Drought tolerant once established, it performs best in a sunny position with well-drained soil.
