Cenolophium denudatum is a tall, elegant perennial valued for its airy structure and suitability for naturalistic planting schemes. In early summer, masses of flat umbels made up of tiny greenish-white flowers are held aloft on striking purple stems, creating a soft, meadow-like effect.
Fast growing and semi-evergreen, this architectural plant weaves beautifully through wildflower-style borders, prairie planting and informal gardens. Highly attractive to bees and butterflies, it also makes an excellent cut flower, adding height and movement to arrangements. Easy to grow and reliable, it thrives in well-drained soil and sunny positions.
