Calamagrostis brachytricha
Calamagrostis brachytricha is a graceful, clump-forming ornamental grass valued for its soft, feathery flower plumes and late-season interest. It forms a neat mound of narrow green foliage, with elegant stems rising above in late summer.
From early autumn, airy plumes with a subtle pink tint appear, creating a soft, hazy effect that catches the light beautifully. As the season progresses, the plumes fade to pale beige, extending interest into winter. Ideal for borders, naturalistic planting, and damp areas, it thrives in moist soil and full sun or light shade.
