Begonia 'Helter Skelter'
Begonia 'Helter Skelter' is a spectacular rex begonia bred by Dibleys, renowned for its dramatic spiralling foliage. The large leaves twist tightly around the centre, creating a mesmerising whirlpool effect that gives this variety its playful name and instantly draws the eye.
The foliage combines shimmering silver splashes and spotting with vivid pink-red tones radiating from the leaf centre. Dark green to near-black veins trace through the vibrant colouring, creating remarkable contrast and depth. Compact and bushy in habit, this striking cultivar makes a superb focal point for shelves, plant displays and collector collections.

Begonia Care Sheet
Light: Bright, indirect light is best. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and fade the dramatic foliage colours.
Water: Water when the top few centimetres of compost begin to dry. Keep lightly moist but never waterlogged. Reduce watering during winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a free-draining houseplant compost mixed with perlite and fine bark. Feed every two to four weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. Position near other houseplants or use a humidifier if indoor air is particularly dry. Avoid misting directly onto the leaves.
Pruning and propagation: Remove damaged or ageing leaves as required. Propagate through leaf cuttings or division of mature plants.
