Begonia ‘Muara Wahau’ is a rare Bornean species begonia admired for its deep, moody foliage and subtle textural detail. The rich green to near-black leaves have a velvety surface with delicate tonal veining, creating a refined rainforest appearance that becomes even more intense in warm, humid conditions.

Begonia Care Sheet
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid direct sunlight which can wash out the dark foliage tones.
Water: Keep compost consistently lightly moist but never waterlogged. Do not allow the compost to dry out fully.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a loose, airy compost rich in organic matter with excellent drainage to protect the roots.
Humidity: Requires high humidity and stable warmth, making it ideal for terrariums or indoor plant cabinets.
Pruning and propagation: Remove damaged foliage as needed and ensure gentle airflow around the plant. Can be propagated from stem cuttings.
