Armeria maritima 'Nifty Thrifty' is a compact evergreen perennial forming neat cushions of narrow green leaves edged with creamy white. The variegated foliage provides year-round colour and a crisp contrast in sunny planting schemes.
Rounded heads of bright pink flowers rise on slender stems during spring and summer. The cheerful blooms are attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.
Naturally tolerant of exposed and coastal conditions, 'Nifty Thrifty' thrives in well-drained soil and full sun. Its tidy habit makes it ideal for rockeries, gravel gardens, border edging, troughs and patio containers.
