Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata 'Bordeaux Barlow' is a charming perennial forming a neat mound of delicate, fern-like grey-green foliage. In spring and early summer it produces distinctive, fully double pompom flowers in deep burgundy-red, creating a rich and elegant display.
Perfect for cottage gardens, woodland planting and the front of borders, this compact variety brings soft texture and colour to mixed planting schemes. The unusual blooms also make excellent cut flowers, adding character to informal arrangements.
