About this Mix
This premium, peat-free mix has been carefully designed to support the large epiphytic roots of Anthurium and Orchids. A high proportion of Bark creates open spaces for roots to grow, attach, and breathe, while a smaller percentage of humus-like materials, such as Coco Coir, ensures the mix stays light and airy—even if slightly overwatered.
While tailored for Anthurium and Orchids, this blend is also perfectly suited to other epiphytic plants such as Bromeliads and large Hoyas, making it a versatile choice for your collection.

The most important factor for these plants is air. In their natural habitats, many Anthurium and Orchid species root into trees, thriving with plenty of airflow and minimal soil-like material. This mix recreates those conditions, while including just enough organic matter to also support the terrestrial varieties of Anthurium.
As with all Soil Ninja premium mixes, the blend includes positive bacteria, mycelium, and microfauna to establish a thriving potted ecosystem. Each bag also contains nutrients to support the first two months of growth, with Zeolite added to store and release nutrients effectively.
