Acer palmatum 'Garnet', also known as ‘Dissectum Garnet’, is an outstanding Japanese maple admired for its rich colour, graceful form and strong, reliable growth. Its finely dissected, feathery leaves emerge in deep purple-red tones, closely resembling the lustrous colour of a garnet stone.
This elegant maple holds its colour exceptionally well through the summer before intensifying to glowing shades of rich red in autumn, creating a dramatic seasonal display. With its gently weeping habit and refined structure, it makes a superb focal point for garden planting schemes and is equally well suited to large containers in smaller gardens. For the best foliage colour, grow in a sheltered position away from harsh, direct sunlight.
