Acer negundo 'Flamingo'
Acer negundo 'Flamingo' is a colourful, fast-growing deciduous shrub prized for its striking variegated foliage. Young leaves emerge green with broad salmon-pink margins, gradually fading to creamy white as they mature and creating a bright, exotic appearance.
Through autumn, the foliage develops attractive yellow tones before falling to reveal pale grey-white stems that provide additional winter interest. Regular pruning encourages vigorous fresh shoots and helps maintain a dense, bushy habit with particularly colourful young foliage.
Supplied in a 3 litre pot and grown as a shrub, 'Flamingo' is ideal for mixed borders, woodland-style planting and larger gardens. It performs well in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil, with a sheltered position helping to protect the colourful foliage from strong winds and scorch.
