We're celebrating incredible success after been named as having the best UK Plant Area (Garden Centre category), winning the sought-after ‘RUXLEY ROSE’ Award for the 9th time in a row!
Our vision is to create a ‘Meeting Place for Plant Lovers’ and this award is testament to our skill in growing and retailing both indoor and outdoor plants.
Martin Cowell, Director, comments: “To win this award 9 years in a row is incredible. There are some fantastic garden centres across the UK and to continue to be recognised on a national platform is fantastic. The first round of judging took place in spring 2018 as we began celebrating our 40th Anniversary and to win this award in such a significant year for our family, particularly my parents who began the business and worked so hard to make it a success, is very special. As a plantsman myself, the quality of both plants and service & advice that we offer is especially important to me and this award is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team here at Cowell’s”
The award was presented by the Garden Centre Association at their annual awards in January where Chief Executive, Iain Wylie, said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of our winners on their successes. It is clear that they have worked extremely hard during the past year to reach and maintain the very highest of standards in garden centre retail excellence. Our inspectors were extremely impressed with their achievements.”
