Acer rubrum 'October Glory'
Acer rubrum 'October Glory' is a vigorous, medium-sized deciduous tree prized for its outstanding autumn colour. In spring and summer, it bears an attractive canopy of glossy green leaves, turning to brilliant shades of fiery red, orange, and crimson in October, often lasting well into November. Its upright, broadly oval crown provides structure and shade, making it an excellent specimen tree.
Hardy and reliable, ‘October Glory’ performs best in moist, acidic, well-drained soils and is particularly striking when planted as a feature in lawns, parkland, or large gardens. It has good tolerance to urban conditions and provides year-round interest, with clusters of small red flowers appearing in spring before the foliage.
