Yucca gloriosa
Yucca gloriosa is a striking evergreen architectural plant prized for its bold rosettes of sword-shaped blue-green leaves and impressive spikes of creamy white bell-shaped flowers. Native to the southeastern United States, it brings a dramatic, exotic appearance to gardens while remaining remarkably hardy and easy to grow.
Its strong upright habit makes it an excellent focal point in gravel gardens, contemporary landscapes, coastal schemes and Mediterranean-style planting. Mature specimens produce tall flowering stems in late summer and autumn, creating a spectacular display that attracts pollinating insects.
Drought tolerant once established and thriving in poor, well-drained soils, Yucca gloriosa is an excellent low-maintenance choice for sunny positions where year-round structure and impact are required.
