Viburnum farreri 'December Dwarf'
Viburnum farreri 'December Dwarf' is a compact deciduous shrub prized for its fragrant winter flowers and neat growth habit. Rounded clusters of soft pink blooms appear from late autumn through winter and into early spring, bringing colour and scent to the garden when relatively few other shrubs are in flower.
After flowering, bronzed young foliage emerges in spring before maturing to deep green through summer. In autumn, the leaves develop attractive reddish-purple tones, extending the season of interest well beyond its winter display.
Hardy, low maintenance and easy to grow, 'December Dwarf' is ideal for smaller gardens, mixed borders and large containers. It is particularly effective near paths, entrances and seating areas where the fragrance can be appreciated, and it flowers best in a sunny position.
