Senecio herreianus 'Purple Flush' is a trailing succulent with bead-like leaves flushed with deep green and rich purple tones, especially under bright light. Also known as String of Watermelons, its cascading stems and colourful foliage make it ideal for hanging pots or trailing over shelves, while the subtle colour shifts add a unique touch to any indoor succulent collection.
This drought-tolerant plant thrives in sunny windowsills and conservatories, rewarding good light with richer purple tones. Compact yet vigorous, it performs well in containers and requires little maintenance beyond careful watering.

Senecio Care Sheet
Light: Prefers full sun to bright, indirect light. Ideal for a sunny windowsill or conservatory.
Water: Allow soil to dry out fully between waterings. Water sparingly, especially in winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a free-draining cactus or succulent mix. Feed once or twice in the growing season with a diluted cactus fertiliser.
Humidity: Thrives in dry conditions. Avoid misting or high humidity.
Pruning & Propagation: Trim back leggy growth to maintain shape. Propagates easily from stem cuttings in spring or summer.
