Sarcococca confusa is a compact, sometimes suckering evergreen shrub with glossy leathery leaves and fragrant creamy-white flowers in winter and early spring, followed by red, purple or black berries which may persist into the following winter. Its tidy habit and year-round foliage make it perfect for shady borders, entranceways or winter containers.
