Sarcococca confusa
Sarcococca confusa is a compact evergreen shrub with glossy, leathery foliage and a neat, rounded habit. From December to March, it produces clusters of small, creamy-white flowers with a powerful, sweet fragrance that fills the winter garden. These are followed by glossy red, purple, or black berries that can persist well into the following season.
Perfect for shady borders, woodland gardens, or containers near doorways where its scent can be appreciated, ‘Confusa’ offers reliable structure and seasonal fragrance. Hardy, low maintenance, and drought tolerant once established, it thrives in shade or partial shade and adds long-lasting evergreen interest throughout the year.
