Sanguisorba 'Blackthorn'
Sanguisorba 'Blackthorn' is an elegant herbaceous perennial producing upright bottle brush-like flower spikes in soft rose-pink tones through summer. Held high above neat green foliage on slender stems, the flowers add movement, texture, and vertical interest to borders and naturalistic planting schemes.
This tall, graceful variety works particularly well towards the middle or back of borders, where it combines beautifully with ornamental grasses and other late-season perennials. The long-lasting flower stems are also highly valued for cut flower arranging and fresh floral displays.
