Azalea 'Schneeköpfchen'
Azalea 'Schneeköpfchen', also known as Rhododendron mixtum 'Schneeköpfchen', is a graceful deciduous azalea with pure white, double flowers in May. Sweetly fragrant and produced in rounded clusters, the blooms bring freshness and elegance to late spring gardens.
Its new light-green leaves enhance the flowers before turning fiery orange and red in autumn. With a broad, upright habit, ‘Schneeköpfchen’ grows to around 130cm after 10 years. Hardy and reliable, it thrives in acidic, moist but well-drained soil, especially in partial shade, and is an excellent choice for woodland borders or as a fragrant specimen.
