Pulsatilla vulgaris 'Red' is a compact pasqueflower with finely divided green foliage and silky red, nodding spring flowers centred with golden yellow stamens.
Decorative seed heads follow the flowers, adding further interest. It is best in full sun and sharply drained soil, especially in rock gardens, gravel beds and alpine containers.
