Prunus x subhirtella 'Pendula Plena Rosea'
Prunus x subhirtella 'Pendula Plena Rosea' is an elegant weeping flowering cherry, forming a graceful small tree with arching branches. In early spring, deep rosy-pink buds open to semi-double, rosette-like pale pink flowers, creating a beautiful cascading display.
The oval, toothed leaves emerge green and provide an attractive backdrop through summer before developing warm yellow and red tones in autumn. Its naturally weeping habit makes it particularly effective as a specimen tree where its shape and seasonal colour can be fully appreciated.
Best grown in full sun in well-drained soil, 'Pendula Plena Rosea' is tolerant of a wide range of soil types, including chalk and clay. Compact in size and highly ornamental, it is an excellent choice for smaller gardens, lawns and borders.
