Prunus lusitanica Variegata' is a handsome evergreen shrub with creamy-edged leaves and rich red stems. This variegated Portuguese laurel brings year-round colour and structure to the garden, with striking foliage that brightens borders, hedging and screening. In early summer, it produces upright clusters of fragrant white flowers, followed by small red-black berries. Dense and compact, it clips well for formal shapes or is equally attractive left natural.
