Pinus parviflora 'Negishi'
Pinus parviflora 'Negishi' is a distinctive dwarf evergreen conifer with an upright habit and elegant, open branching. Its softly curved needles are an attractive silver-blue, providing year-round colour and a refined architectural appearance.
The naturally sculptural form makes 'Negishi' especially well suited to bonsai, Niwaki and other specialist pruning techniques. Its layered branches and compact growth allow it to be trained into striking shapes while retaining a graceful and balanced appearance.
Ideal for rockeries, gravel gardens, Japanese-style planting and patio containers, this hardy conifer performs best in full sun and well-drained soil. Growing by approximately 6-8cm each year, it develops steadily while remaining compact and manageable.
