Physocarpus opulifolius 'Midnight'® is a dramatic deciduous shrub prized for its sumptuous dark purple foliage, which is so richly coloured it often appears almost black. The deep-toned leaves provide outstanding contrast in borders and mixed planting schemes, making this variety a striking focal point throughout the growing season.
Clusters of delicate white-pink flowers emerge during May and June, creating a beautiful contrast against the dark foliage.
