Philodendron Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Too much direct sun can scorch the leaves, while low light may reduce leaf size and colour intensity.
Water: Water when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry. Keep the soil lightly moist but never waterlogged. Reduce watering in winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix containing bark and perlite. Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced fertiliser.
Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity. Benefits from being placed near a humidifier or grouped with other plants.
Pruning and propagation: Prune leggy growth to maintain shape. Propagate easily from stem cuttings rooted in water or soil.
